Kiss of Death Posts Tracks from Upcoming Jeff Rowe/Mayflower Split

Kiss of Death Records has posted a stream of two tracks from an upcoming 7″ split featuring Boston-based acoustic singer-songwriter Jeff Rowe and Oswego, New York punk rock band Mayflower. The record will be released April 24th. In addition to one original song from each artist, the split will include material in which Jeff Rowe and Mayflower cover each other’s songs.

“We’d talked about doing something like this for years, and it’s nice to see that come to fruition,” said Rowe. “It’s a fantastic thing to have a split out with people that you adore and love their music as well.”

The 7″ will be available on Rowe’s and Mayflower’s respective tours. Rowe will play several dates in Canada and the East Coast before heading off to Europe, while Mayflower will play a few dates in Quebec, including Pouzza Fest May 20th.

The Menzingers Post New Song

The Menzingers have posted a new song entitled “The Obituaries” via SoundCloud. The track is the first material to be released off their upcoming Epitaph debut, which is scheduled for a spring 2012 release.

In January, the Philadelphia-based band will be joining Rise Against and A Day To Remember on the eastern leg of their US tour.


Chuck Ragan: “Get What You Give”

credit-scott-toepferIn preparation for the release of his new album Covering GroundChuck Ragan has teamed up with Rolling Stone to offer afree download/stream of the track “Get What You Give.” Ragan commented on the theme of the song saying:

“There is always a struggle finding balance doing what we love. Above all, holding true to that original passion rather than sinking into a self-absorbed world which is addicted to self-gratification, attention and spotlight. In the end, it comes down to a single choice of how we decide to treat people and ourselves. What goes around comes around; and sooner or later whether we like it or not, we will get what we give.”

Covering Ground will hit stores on September 13th.


Timeshares Announce Bearable; Post New Song

New York based Timeshares have announced they will release their debut album Bearable on October 25th through Kind Of Like Records and Kiss Of Death Records. Recorded in Natoli’s home studio, Dickbutt Studios (Spraynard, Sundials, Cattle Drums), alongside singer/guitarist Jon Hernandez, Bearable will be available in vinyl and digital formats, and will feature 8 brand new songs alongside 4 re-recorded and reworked songs from their previously released demo and 7″ split with Captain, We’re Sinking.

To coincide with the announcement, the band has posted the track “Too Many ELO Days” off the forthcoming album on theirwebsite.

Shores Leak First Track From Second Album

From the Grand Rapids of Michigan, comes the first leak from Shores‘ upcoming sophomore release. The new track is entitled “Faith Hill”and will be found onTo Volstead, which will be released by No Idea Records on October 4th, 2011.

Cutman Streaming New Song From First Full Length

Gainesville’s own posthardcore rifflayers Cutman have their first full length album, titled “Universal Laws”, coming out on Underground Communique Records. The album’s release show will be at The Fest 10 and has an official street date of November 1st, 2011.

Underground Communique has posted the song “Bad Party” on their bandcamp for your streaming pleasure and will be doing a preorder for the album in about Mid to Late October.


Bridge and Tunnel Streaming New Song

Bridge and Tunnel will be releasing a new full length this year with No Idea Records on September 20th. The album will be titled Rebuilding Year and was produced and recorded by J. Robbins.

To promote their sophomore release, Bridge and Tunnel will be doing a short tour of Australia and have allowed forBombshellZine to stream the song ‘Synchronized Swimming’‘.

Hot Water Music Posts Stream Of “The Fire, The Steel, The Tread”

In anticipation of the August release of The Fire, The Steel, The Tread EPHot Water Music has posted a stream of the title track of the two song EP. The EP will be released on Rise Records, and marks the band’s first new material from the band in over seven years. The Gainesville based band is set to release their Rise debut and follow up to 2004’s The New What Next in the spring of 2012.
