Queens, NY-based Daytrader has announced that they have signed to Rise Records. In addition to the signing, the band has undergone a lineup change, and will now feature Scotty Giffin (ex-Crime In Stereo) on drums and Matt Mascarenas (Reviver) on bass. Daytrader plans to enter the winter with acclaimed producer Mike Sapone (Brand New, Taking Back Sunday) to record their follow-up to 2011’s Last Days Of Rome. The forthcoming album is scheduled for a spring 2012 release.

Timeshares Announce Bearable; Post New Song
New York based Timeshares have announced they will release their debut album Bearable on October 25th through Kind Of Like Records and Kiss Of Death Records. Recorded in Natoli’s home studio, Dickbutt Studios (Spraynard, Sundials, Cattle Drums), alongside singer/guitarist Jon Hernandez, Bearable will be available in vinyl and digital formats, and will feature 8 brand new songs alongside 4 re-recorded and reworked songs from their previously released demo and 7″ split with Captain, We’re Sinking.
To coincide with the announcement, the band has posted the track “Too Many ELO Days” off the forthcoming album on theirwebsite.

Hostage Calm Offering Free LP Download For Supporting Gay Marriage in NY
Hostage Calm has teamed up with Alternative Press to support the ongoing battle nationwide over same-sex marriages. Setting their focus on the upcoming New York state vote to determine whether same sex partners can legally get married, the Hartford,CT-based band is offering their full length self-titled album for free to anyone who submit an online form in support legalizing same-sex marriage to be sent to NY Senators that are on the fence with the topic.
By filling out your name and e-mail here, a pre-written e-mail in support of gay marriage will be sent directly to Senators Greg Ball, James Alesi and Roy McDonald. Hostage Calm is also selling aspecially made shirt where $1 from each sale will go to the Equality Maryland charity that is working to get same sex marriage legalized in the state.
